LauBeau
Business partners Lawrence and Corey were both raised in London, Ontario, and attended the same highschool, as well as eventually the same university. Lawrence is attempting to complete his HbSc in the Health Sciences & Psychology, while Corey is switching paths from an Hba in Criminology & Philosophy, to an Hba in Finance and Administration which was sparked by a newly discovered interest in business. Both Lawrence and Corey were determined to start earning money for their future as soon as possible, and within a short period of time they began to search for ideas. They started by brain-storming ideas day after day hoping to maybe invent something successful such as Crocs or Facebook. However, after weeks of brain-storming, they realized the reality of how difficult it would be to succeed in the world of business. By Fall of 2007, Lawrence and Corey tried to develop business ideas to earn a profit. Several ideas came into discussion and a t-shirt company was the most appealing, but the problem was a high risk initial investment. After re-evaluation of the t-shirt company, it was decided that these two university students needed an idea with low risk and low initial investments. Once again, more brain-storming was done and an idea of creating a website came about. What kind of website though? After many days of research, Lawrence and Corey decided to create a culturally based website for their hometown. Hungry for success, many more ideas came to mind between Lawrence and Corey throughout the weeks. Not allowing any profitable idea to go to waste, LauBeau was established to execute other profitable ideas, driven by the thought that "any profitable idea is a good idea." At the point which this article was written, Laubeau has three completed projects and two propspective projects for the future. The first completed project being LB Media Designs, is a division of LauBeau headed by Lawrence. LB Media Design serves as a website contracting project devoted to producing high-quality websites at an affordable cost. Their next project, entitled Business 101, is a website that focuses on providing the public with information on the best ways to earn money on a tight budget. This website is continually expanding as it is fuelled by the experiences gained by Lawrence and Corey. The final completed project by LauBeau is none other than Best of London, the largest and most immediate project that the two are focused on. Best of London, as you may have already noted, is a website based on London's businesses, community and much more. Aside from the completed projects, there are also a few prospective ideas that LauBeau wishes to pursue. The main two being LBH Productions and the LauBeau clothing brand, both of which can be found at the website above. However, for now their attention is devoted to their existing projects, but with their focus and determination, it seems that nothing will stand in the way of their aspirations. |
Two highschool students who first met at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School in London, Ontario have always been driven to climb the ladder of success. In their second year of post-secondary education at the University of Western Ontario, Lawrence Lau and Corey Dubeau sought out many business ideas hoping to add to the community they grew up in. What first began as a t-shirt company has transformed into a multi-project company with versatile marketable products and ideas.
